Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are on alert regardingStoke Citydefender Harry Souttar after his strong showings in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, according to reports.

The 24-year-old started all four of Australias fixtures against France, Tunisia, Denmark and Argentina as Graham Arnolds side progressed out of Group D but were eventually beaten by Lionel Messi and his teammates on their way to Argentinas third World Cup success.

Souttars performances were a key reason his country were able to make it out of the group stage, with the youngster slotting seamlessly back into club football with a strong showing against Bristol City last weekend to help secure the 2-1 victory.

Souttar could once again be competing with the very best of opponents in the near future as rumours regarding a move to the Premier League begin to circulate.

According to theDaily Mail, Tottenham and Everton are on alert regarding the 6ft 6in defender as they look to reignite their interest in the Stoke City man after previously monitoring him prior to his long-term injury.

Souttars current contract with the Potters expires in 2025.
