Some familiar names on the scoresheet forStoke Cityfans looking at the National League results last night.
There was young Stoke striker Will Goodwin among the goals for Torquay United, young Stoke midfielder Dan Malone among the goals for Altrincham and young Stoke centre-back David Okagbue among the goals for Oldham.
It is a valuable learning curve for the junior Potters getting their first real taste of senior football and the ups and downs and pressures that come with the need for points.

It was a tough night for Torquay, who ended up on the wrong side of a 3-2 defeat to Maidenhead, who scored the winner in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time.
Torquay, who reached the play-off final last season, are bottom at the moment and manager Gary Johnson told Radio Devon: No ones going to give up, Im not giving up, thats for sure. I might be down but Im not out unless somebody tells me I am.
Altrincham earned an important 3-1 win at Gateshead to pull out of the relegation zone. Eddy Jones, another Stoke youngster, joined Malone in the starting XI. It wasnt just Malones goal that earned praise.
Manager Phil Parkinson said: Dan did a lot of work that will go unnoticed. We had to tweak it slightly with Josh Lundstram after the first goal but I felt he grew in the game. He could have gone in his shell but he didnt, he was superb. Greg Olley is a very, very good player as we know from last season and he kept him very quiet.
Okagbue, who has extended his loan at Oldham until January, helped his side secure a 2-2 draw with Scunthorpe.
New boss David Unsworth was not pleased to only get a point, saying: Not good enough. But if we couldnt win its that old saying, dont lose. There were some choice words spoken at half-time, quite rightly as well. They had to know that I wasnt happy at all, not just the fans, I can assure you I wasnt happy.
There was some reaction, fair play, we got a goal and we should have won the game. But I now know what were all about.
One mistake and we crumble. One mistake and the whole team seems to put their heads down and that epitomises whats gone before, probably what happened last year and the year before, so at some point weve got to stop and its up to us to do that.
