Pieters was the first signing of the Mark Hughes era at Stoke back in 2013 and remained a fixture on the left side of defence until early 2019, when he was surprisingly ushered out by new managerNathan Jones.

He went on to have a loan spell at Amiens before moving back to the Premier League with Burnley and joining Albion as a free agent late this summer.
